I was expecting many things but not whatever this is.

Next chapter release: 8th

Head over here for the discussion thread of the last chapter

u/toctocroc Aug 08 '23

If sword man is alive, that means that Rise is alive as well right? RIGHT?????

28

u/chudslayer Aug 08 '23

How many seconds till the next chapter????

-3

u/its-Jai Aug 07 '23

She’s the death devil or at least related ti it. Her braids splinter into four parts, and four is associated with death in Japanese Kanji. Because the character for four looks like the character for death

1

u/SpedeSpedo Aug 08 '23

The death devil ends up being pochi at the end because of how everyone seems to be the death devil (unless that’s how the body would work? Connected to everything that can die?)

14

u/WoDRonaldo Aug 07 '23

Naa, no circle "rinnegan" eyes.

10

u/ButtholePasta Aug 07 '23

If you haven't, listening to the actual song while reading the chapter is actually so sick. The visuals and text boxes sync so well with the song.

14

u/Nearby_Ad_6701 Aug 04 '23

its definitely Yoshida's plan, when they first met Denji told him the reason he is chainsawman is so that when people find him out the girls will be all over him, so he first set him up with asa, then tried this new chick.

19

u/GoodTrust5444 Aug 02 '23

Karaoke Devil!

32

u/Iron_Kingpin Aug 02 '23

Man he almost got me thinking Denji had really matured, should have known. Certainly not expecting Denji to go all Old Boy like that though. As weird as the song was it was actually kinda fire.

73

u/jwaters0122 Aug 02 '23

biweekly devil the most powerful devil in existence 😥

18

u/Boomsledge Aug 02 '23

I concur.

Source: Biweekly wages.

Y'all got any advice regarding saving or such? Or any advice at financial advice at all? Canada based btw.

3

u/Yelov Aug 03 '23

What's the norm where you live? We get paid monthly in Slovakia (should be the same in most of Europe).

1

u/Destiny_Nova Aug 03 '23

Make yourself a budget, know what you HAVE to spend, and know what you’re able to save.

3

u/jwaters0122 Aug 02 '23

1.get a higher paying job

  1. dont eat out at restaurants or take-outs too much

  2. use a balance sheet and put a cap on your spending

11

u/Kaabisan Aug 03 '23

"How do I budget?"

"Earn more money."

You should be an accountant

0

u/jwaters0122 Aug 04 '23 edited Aug 04 '23

getting a higher paying job is financial advice. Which he asked

your lack of reading comprehension is astounding

1

u/GlassedGhost Aug 08 '23

Your lack of intelligence (both social and educational) is astounding

-1

u/jwaters0122 Aug 08 '23

you have neither. your stupidity is your entire existence

1

u/GlassedGhost Aug 08 '23

The fact that people have to point out the difference between good and bad advice like you’re a kid is quite honestly embarrassing for you. But hey if you’re doubling down so will I.

-1

u/jwaters0122 Aug 08 '23

The only thing you're doubling down is your own stupidity. you can't read or understand something so simple. Thats alot more embarrassing.

1

u/GlassedGhost Aug 08 '23

I pointed out exactly what you did wrong, and the only thing you have to say is that I’m stupid. I’m done arguing with a fool, this little spat is below me.

Here I thought new chapter is up. Looks like I'm gonna edge again for more chainsaw content

58

u/JohnDoe6104 Aug 01 '23

biweekly devil needs to go to hell

37

u/JossyVal Aug 01 '23

sigh :22159:

52

u/Wolfencreek Aug 01 '23

The Biweekly Devil strikes again

14

u/electricitybag Aug 01 '23

denji's relapsing isn't he?

21

u/Monochrofanatic Aug 01 '23

Biweekly devil strikes again

22

u/Reddiditman Aug 01 '23

Im starting school on aug 8 and your telling me that's when the next chapter is dropping😭😭😭

47

u/Hei_senbe_rg I hate that weird licking lips emoji Aug 01 '23

My dumbass thought the new chapter was today ☠️

6

u/Banezi Aug 01 '23

It's not??

8

u/doyouunderstandlife Aug 01 '23

Pinned comment for every chapter release has the date of the next one.

17

u/Banezi Aug 01 '23

If me as the average CSM fan could read, I would find that very useful

Thanks for the tip friend

2

u/Hei_senbe_rg I hate that weird licking lips emoji Aug 01 '23

Nope next week I guess

5

u/Banezi Aug 01 '23

Well damn, there goes me looking towards this Tuesday... At least I got to read the new Nagatoro

14

u/Delicious-Ad-4018 Aug 01 '23

dawg me too, im dying of lack of asa atp

6

u/Hei_senbe_rg I hate that weird licking lips emoji Aug 01 '23

I miss Asa

26

u/Destpot Aug 01 '23

Where is my chapter Dennis. WHERE IS IT

17

u/Calm_Phase_9717 Aug 01 '23

Finally got to catch up on the series and the sub after exams and holidays

5

u/blackwolfgoogol Aug 01 '23 edited Aug 01 '23

this is a wild chapter to catch up on, and with the next one coming next week

5

u/Speed_Niran Aug 01 '23

Imagine if denji finally loses his virginity

32

u/AsrielGoddard Jul 31 '23

I binge read all of chainsaw man for the first time today to distract myself from exams....

What the fuck was this? What is happening? Why is she singing a Maximum the Hormone song? Who are all those punks? And how did the girl know this would be what makes denji smile again?
I'm so damn thankful this is the latest chapter.

W Chapter.

17

u/Kingturboturtle13 Jul 31 '23 edited Aug 01 '23

This is so much better with the song playing in the background

Now that I think about it CSM would be great for a lot of Maximum the Hormone songs' AMVs

36

u/trolledwolf Jul 31 '23

I like how the entire community can come together as we, in unison, all said the exact same thing:

"What the fuck?"

24

u/Massive_Weiner Jul 31 '23

I usually say “what the fuck,” about every other chapter now, but…

What the fuck?

13

u/Darkrayy Jul 31 '23

I want to see this chapter adapted right now

26

u/BoomyNote Jul 30 '23

There’s surely no way every chainsaw man fan is somehow familiar with the song and immediately recognized it and we’re fans of it right? Am I the only one who read this chapter and thought “what the fuck?” And had to come here for guidance

3

u/Kingturboturtle13 Jul 31 '23

This chapter resulted in edits of the chapter with it and now I'm hopelessly addicted to Maximum the Hormone

31

u/Kriptoknightt Jul 30 '23

Average, most sanest chapter of Chainsaw man.

13

u/Chrisewoi Jul 30 '23

So Oldboy-core I love it

9

u/ConstantinopleIMissU Jul 30 '23

New chick looks like Asa

8

u/Speed_Niran Aug 01 '23

Nahh, don't disrepect asa like that

8

u/yami5989 Jul 29 '23

oh the guy from the previous chapter came to get revenge, I assume, maybe, idk I saw a guy with the same hair

44

u/VAPSdraws Jul 28 '23

Why evrytime he meets a girl soemthing has to happen 😭😂

11

u/Moriatry Jul 28 '23

i hated that!

28

u/SealWithATuxedo Jul 28 '23

the only thing i can think of rn is what a 2007 song doing in 1998

9

u/SefirotMagnus Jul 30 '23

This is a weird world, though. Chainsaw Man ate the Nazis Devil and Nuclear Weapons Devil among others. Looot of weird juxtaposition and anachronisms in their universe. Sorta reminds me of how the world in It Follows feels, like it's lost between being in the 21st century and the mid 20th century

10

u/bjcat666 Jul 29 '23

wait... the nonsense she was singing is a real song?

8

u/FanKiE0272 Jul 29 '23

Yes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPUCEz-RCg0

Death Note OP 2, Chainsaw man ED 3 are also from this band

7

u/bjcat666 Jul 29 '23

lyrics being near impossible to understand is blessing in this case

7

u/BUTthehoeslovemetho Jul 29 '23

future devil!?11??!!

15

u/Throwaway46034792 Jul 28 '23

Man I just want denji to be happy

14

u/Analyticsman24 Jul 28 '23

Animated a scene from an earlier chapter https://youtu.be/dxpSgyhj3L8

3

u/PeaceTree8D Jul 28 '23

Damn looking good

12

u/NoDount Jul 28 '23

I understand that Denji is too boring to refuse a trap. But How does the new face know so well to win Denji’s favor?

5

u/Ah-honey-honey Jul 29 '23

My guess is the 3rd sibling of the 4 horsement of the apocalypse: pestilence. Famine probably clued her in.

5

u/Password12346 Jul 31 '23

Control, War, Famine, Death. I think control and pestilence have been interchangeable

17

u/[deleted] Jul 28 '23

Wtf

20

u/Arhenius_Yoda Dennis and Powy are just Siblings! Jul 28 '23

It reminded me of Daredevil's Hallway sequence fr!!!

Dennis gonna kill for sure!

11

u/EnadZT Jul 28 '23

Daredevil's Hallway sequence is based on a scene from a movie called "Oldboy" which inspired a lot of scenes like the one in Daredevil.

2

u/Arhenius_Yoda Dennis and Powy are just Siblings! Jul 28 '23

Nice to know this fact, but Daredevil uplifted it, and that's why the first name hit while reading the manga for me was Daredevil!

And for those who haven't watched 'Oldboy', please give it a try!!!

2

u/Cabo_Martim Jul 29 '23

Daredevil is also from a usanian production over a usanian IP that is distributed and advertised worldwide, that is why Daredevil's scene is more well known.

but the chapter is closer to the Oldboy, specially if you consider the lateral camera with the doors in the back and the bets

12

u/nonlarmer Jul 28 '23

If this chapter is not Chainsaw Man, I would say the girl is a trouble maker and approach denji because his reputation about fighting at school, and drag him in to her problem at karaoke place.

-14

u/MZeroX5 Jul 28 '23

I have gotten tired of EVERY WOMAN trying to kill him. Seriously, the plot hasn't budged since the first chapter when he got his powers. it feels like I am watching one piece how this is going nowhere.

If 1 more new girl tries to seduce him, then attempt to kill him, I am done.

5

u/Patient-Beginning935 Jul 29 '23

Have you even seen one piece? There's like a million thing going around. The World building is peak.

22

u/Hyperversum Jul 28 '23

Did you miss EVERYTHING ELSE happening beyond this recurring thing?

Like, the fact there is another CSM around? An entire Church/cult with ties to Famine? The implication of conflicts that may come around the world? Asa going full Devil May Cry around the city?

Jesus people

-7

u/MZeroX5 Jul 29 '23 edited Jul 29 '23

Literally, every story you mentioned had the same plot.

What happened? Tell me the story of how every story starts and ends with him beating the devil or escaping after a girl tries to seduce him and she eventually tries to kill him?

And everything you listed is what's going on now but you already know how every thing will play out chainsaw will eventually beat whatever monster he needs to beat and he will be tempted by 100s of girls for the author to move the plot along because denji wants to impress the girl by fighting for those girls, but then those girls try to kill him eventually.

Like what else is there? This has literally happened EVERY TIME

Like, what's wrong with your guys head? It's literally the exact same story every time just with different characters but the same beginning, middle, and end.

It gets depressing talking to one piece and chainsawman fans they just accept the same story beats then clap their hands to the same shit like they're zombies and never saw the exact same plot before, and over and over and over.

4

u/Hyperversum Jul 29 '23

If you only look at general story beats, yeah, but at the same time, as I have already said and you ignored, other stuff happens around. If you willing ignore the long term plot it's your fucking bad.

Also, what the fuck do you expect from a manga called "Chainsawman"? For him to sit a tablet and have a serious discussion?

-2

u/MZeroX5 Jul 29 '23

Have you ever heard of Johnny bravo?

Anyway, i expected it to be better than a Saturday morning cartoon

2

u/Cabo_Martim Jul 29 '23

you do have a point. but the story advances even so.

-8

u/WarPopeJr Jul 28 '23

100% fair take. The eternity devil stuff again, especially with kenobi 2.0, almost made me drop the manga (luckily I didn’t because the rest after that is dope)

41

u/Zbearbear Jul 27 '23

This chapter was so stupid and I love it.

2

u/Witty_Sympathy376 Aug 02 '23

My honest opinion of it

6

u/tehrockeh Jul 27 '23

LOL. What a chapter.

If only PrisonMike was still around to comment on this one...

3

u/LGCACERES Aug 01 '23

Oh I see a man of culture of the good old days of mangastream. I remember that his comments were more fun than the chapters

4

u/tehrockeh Aug 01 '23 edited Aug 01 '23

PrisonMike was definitely the highlight. Hope he's doing alright, wherever that madman is, probably still disappointing his wife lol

13

u/sir_conington Jul 27 '23

Damn! I cant wait to see that fight scene get animated, hopefully the anime gets this far

15

u/DepressedDIK Jul 27 '23

Very good chapters are back. Last 2 weeks have been 🔥

80

u/gizliastar Jul 27 '23 edited Jul 28 '23

You have to read this chapter with the actual song, makes it 100x better!

Edit: The song is called: ChuChu Lovely MuniMuni MuraMura PrinPrin Boron Nururu ReroRero

3

u/RoboLebron117 Jul 29 '23

Oh they also made the 2nd Death note intro song

3

u/place-_holder Jul 29 '23

It really is an entirely different chapter without it

7

u/Zbearbear Jul 27 '23

Get this man to the top of the comments

5

u/wetcoffeebeans Jul 27 '23

holy shit, MTH in the wild? Would've never guessed

10

u/CoffeeWanderer Jul 27 '23

The song was released (2007) around 10 years later than the time the manga is set. Now that's some innovation

2

u/colorfulnina Jul 27 '23

Beat chapter so far

18

u/somerandomguyuno Jul 27 '23

So is she like the Oldboy devil or smth?

10

u/CoffeeWanderer Jul 27 '23

Would that be the Incest devil cause that something Fujimoto would absolutely do

-19

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '23

Was a cool chapter despite the simping and beta behavior. Felt like I was reading GTA while that fight scene was happening or that PS2 game “The Warriors”

9

u/Madbasu Jul 27 '23

You are making it too obvious with that username

36

u/olpoanch Jul 27 '23

He had me at first, ngl.

42

u/zanyek_yizann Jul 27 '23

I absolutely laughed when denji actually thought that xD

16

u/seven_worth Jul 27 '23

I love this chapter and I don't know why.

17

u/wes_cab Jul 27 '23

It comes with a sound-track for one.

Oldboy reference, MTH in the chapter, New girl shows to have a twisted (strangely hot) personality, CSM brand unexpected weirdness, ALUMINUM ALUMNIMUM ALUMniMUM SEXXXXX

Ticks a lot of boxes.

5

u/UserZreddit Jul 27 '23

Best Chapter yet

57

u/beepboopboop23 Jul 27 '23

I absolutely LOVED that his rational defense was all in his head. That made me legitimately laugh out loud.

40

u/22-D Jul 27 '23

What on EARTH is fujimoto doin????🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

9

u/Big-Bike-8537 Jul 27 '23

Probably some really hard drugs it seems.

20

u/badluckartist Jul 27 '23

For all my issues with this chapter, I'm glad Fujimoto gave a loving tribute to not only Maximum the Hormone, but also- and this might be a stretch- Suda 51. This entire chapter read exactly like something that would happen to Travis Touchdown. Going from sexy assassin making an aggressive sexual pass segueing immediately into a fight with a hundred goons with bats is like beat for beat in every No More Heroes game.

21

u/OD67 Jul 27 '23

man this mf fujimoto DONT MISS

34

u/SelectionActual873 Jul 27 '23

When will the manga end so that I can finally understabd

18

u/SelectionActual873 Jul 27 '23

Don't get me wrong guys, I just hate cliffhangers and love binging

9

u/ColdSoldier8380 Jul 27 '23

You are so real for that

80

u/pnwbraids Jul 26 '23

Seeing Denji standing up for himself was only is his thoughts crushed me. But I've never seen any story handle the psychology of an abused boy so fucking well.

Having been neglected and abused myself, it crushes me knowing exactly how Denji feels. How badly he wants to be loved by someone. How he's surrounded by people who don't care about meeting his needs. How he accepts this horrible treatment from a girl who just sexually assaulted him, because that behavior is just normal to him.

4

u/CertifiedHousekeeper Jul 28 '23

Being in a non-relationship with the control devil does things to a young man's psyche.

34

u/No_Tension_896 Jul 26 '23

What the fuck is happening

34

u/VNoir1995 Jul 26 '23

Is that a mother fuckin Oldboy reference?

8

u/lhobbes6 Jul 27 '23

I thought the same thing! "Did our boy just do an "old boy?""

13

u/pnwbraids Jul 26 '23

That absolutely is a motherfuckin' Oldboy hallway scene homage. Not surprised, given what a movie buff Fujimoto is. That's one of the best movies of all time.

11

u/MissMarieMusic Jul 26 '23

Last few chapters were really dragging for me but this one is really picking it up. Feels like things are actually moving again and I am PUMPED for what's next.

2

u/LargeCupOfIceWater Jul 28 '23

I’m hopeful as well, but I still feel that it’s dragging at the moment. Part 1 just felt more clear, establish devils, devil hunters, defeat eternity devil, become friends, threat of gun devil being endgame, Makima interest from Denji, next arc meeting Rez, next arc international assassins, hell, I’m trying to recall from memory but yeah to me it’s pretty clear.

Rn part 2 is, new story, Asa mitaka meets War Devil, has to kill CSM, justice devil, eternity devil again, and then falling devil and now a new devil? There’s obviously beats in between but for the most part it’s feeling like a slog

6

u/eht_amgine_enihcam Jul 29 '23

That's probably cause you binged it. I've been reading since chapter 1, and it honestly feels pretty consistent in pace. Not much compares to an 80 chapter buildup, but that takes a year and a half to come out.

It's 40 chaps into part 2, that's end of katana arc.

3

u/LargeCupOfIceWater Jul 30 '23

I would say that Part 2 pacing though seems to jump into the next thing almost instantly. We were getting Nayuta background towards end of Falling Devil and all of a sudden we were already in the next phase. At least after the Darkness devil we got down time and we saw the damage it caused the Devil hunters and we saw how it affected our main characters.

Rn it’s only ever felt like Denji being told to stop being CSM over the brief periods of quiet in Part 2

2

u/eht_amgine_enihcam Jul 31 '23

Ah sure, do you feel the pacing is TOO packed and we need some more chill chapters? There's still relaxed pieces like the cafe scenes.

Darkness devil was like chapter 80 range iirc. There's double the time he's spent getting us invested in the characters, foreshadowing stuff, and hitting a pretty big peak. We just haven't had enough chapters to set up a payoff like that yet imo, which would warrant such a big "downtime" for readers to recover. We're still in the part one phase of "introducing characters and plot points then killing off the chaff".

I remember at like Chap 20 I was pretty vocally telling people to give it a chance. Another manga, VERSUS (by ONE) has people screaming for payoffs at chapter fuckin 7 lol. Aquarium felt very similar to eternity devil in pacing (introduce school, weird situation, resolve).

Also, you might be right and it might become hot trash. Fujimoto's so good because he's experimental, but Fire Punches ended pissed me off (but I respect him for the balls to do it). Manga's do tend to fall in quality a bit when they're weekly and the writers run out of ideas.

1

u/LargeCupOfIceWater Jul 31 '23

To be fair I love this series, Part 1 is going down as one of my favorites of all time. I have good faith, I’m curious to see what the peak is in one of these arcs. Fire Punch’s ending got verryyyyy experimental and abstract haha

I think for the most part the biggest part of Part 1 that made it that much stronger is like I mentioned before is that end of Part 1 was that the Gun Devil was end game (or so we thought), every character affected by it, Makima setting it the goal for Denji, Aki having a passion to kill it but then developing feelings for Denji and Power. Even during Darkness Devil and international assassins, there was this feeling that the Gun Devil was looming over.

So far I can’t say we have that big goal for Part 2, I wanna say Asa and War Devil becoming protagonist and War Devil stating they want to kill Chainsaw Man is the end goal for Part 2 but even so it feels the scale isn’t as large. BUT War Devil is a horseman of the apocalypse so technically we should be eagerly anticipating that but I would say the way Asa and Yoru has been built up they don’t seem as menacing as the GunDevil or Makima

5

u/sir_conington Jul 27 '23

Same here! I was close to losing faith that the series would be able to get back to its original highs, but this chapter restored my faith

23

u/BurgerHashira Jul 26 '23

I dont know whats going on anymore, but I believe that its gonna end up epic

46

u/jcrad Yoru Enjoyer 🦉 Jul 26 '23

I feel like the story has gotten increasingly nonsensical ever since Asa stopped appearing

41

u/JayKalinka Jul 26 '23

Am i the only one who is sad when the last page was shown about Denji being trolled again and he realized that its this life he cant help to escape to?

He never experienced normal youth, he lost his friends Aki, Power and his love interests Makima and Reze. Still didnt face him because either Pochitas demon DNA makes him devoid of empathy or he simply doesnt care anymore after what he went through.

Its that kind of character-writing what makes Denji and Agni so special, its simply interesting.

13

u/shellycya Jul 27 '23

The panels of him looking at the girl after the thrill of the fight and then looking down and mostly losing his smile are beautiful.

You know it's because when he looked up he saw the bat and you could just sense the disappointment running through him again. At least he can "fight" through his pain.

26

u/pnwbraids Jul 26 '23

Denji isn't devoid of empathy and he actually cares a lot. You wouldn't have the panels of him thinking about telling her off if he didn't care.

Denji is suffering from severe PTSD and has no one who is helping him through it. It isn't that he can't feel emotions, but that the part of his brain has been radically altered by stressful experiences and emotional pain.

29

u/Dog-Cop Jul 26 '23

I don’t think there’s a devil involved here and these are all devil hunters working for public safety. Or a lot more people know who Denji is than we think

17

u/AAHMXP Jul 26 '23

Well, that's definitely not a trap

23

u/raidensnakeezio Jul 26 '23

fujimotor thinks hes edgar wright

43

u/most_ironic Jul 26 '23

WHAT is fudge motor COOKING???

13

u/Altruistic_Lie_9090 Jul 26 '23

LET HIM COOK!!!

29

u/ObsessiveScoutMain Jul 26 '23

wtf happened im still lost (i’ve been lost since chapter 98)

5

u/CouncilmanRickPrime Jul 27 '23

I wasn't lost before, but now I'm lost

17

u/Orm-Bot Jul 26 '23

Reminds me of Power…

21

u/kimetsuno_yeahboi Jul 26 '23

KARAOKE FUJIMOTO 🎤

3

u/SuperKami-Nappa Jul 27 '23

If I learned one thing from this chapter, it’s that Karaoke is more important than sex

51

u/RIPassholes Jul 26 '23

Our boi dennis spontaneously offered a rimjob a few chapters ago and now spontaneously blowed a devil appendage (he could've just given it a lick it but he kept going and almost deepthroated the thing anyway)... I know, coincidences played for laughs most likely, but if a third sus imagery thing happens soon imma need to know what Fujimoto is cooking here

Anyway, the fact Denji was fully aware of his own relapse is so very realistic lol. Thinking about saying no shows character development but he's not in a good place to have the strength to follow through just yet.

8

u/SolarSton3 Jul 27 '23

I see this chapter as showcasing a seasoned, spycrafty Denji. He’s intentionally playing dumb to spring the trap for intel. Licking a dead devil is nothing, he’s literally eaten them and drank their blood.

The thought response in the theater is him rolling his eyes over people trying to trick him again using sex.

In the karaoke room he has the brief fantasy that maybe this isn’t a trap, the girl is just down like that, before the baseball bat beat down sequence kicks off and it’s back to the battlefield.

7

u/cruel-oath Jul 26 '23

The girl told him to do all that, that’s why he did it

12

u/RIPassholes Jul 26 '23

Obviously, but Fushimoto didn't need to draw it that way, yanno? I wonder if the wording was more explicit in japanese.

11

u/cruel-oath Jul 26 '23

Given that Denji is talking about self respect and maturing in his mind before doing it, it’s more likely to show that he’s still willing to degrade himself for what he wants, especially since this time, a girl offered him sex

35

u/TimBagels Jul 26 '23

Is this just Scott Pilgrim now?

4

u/justamon22 Jul 26 '23

Lmao definite vibes I was getting

10

u/TheOnlyFallenCookie Jul 26 '23

Last week I was wondering, why did Yoshida mention our assault devil's girl showed up before the corpse collectors?

And this week she forced Denji to suck on the corpse. Maybe coincidence?

Still weird to me why Yoshida would mention that

26

u/Real_Smoker Jul 26 '23

I didn't understand a f*** of this chapter......... AND I LOVED IT

Not liking a chapter doesn’t instantly mean people are mad you know? Things are not always just black and white.

I love Chainsaw Man and I know it’s weird and crazy, but I just haven’t felt the last few chapters that much. I’m not saying they’re bad AT ALL, just that maybe they’re feeling a bit too random and dissociated. Still enjoying the whole manga tho.

That is just how set up chapters work. This are the chapters that stablish the themes and motives of the arc and then foreshadows everything for later.

Like Chainsaw man has always been like this, a lot of people read the 100 chapters of chainsaw man quickly, which is why it felt more as a complete story, but if they had read it week by week then they would probably feel like this chapters as well

That's not it for everyone. Been here since the beginning. Still didn't like this chapter.

I didn't say everyone would like it, set up chapters are needed for the plot but are usually not the most liked chapters for fans

most are probably bandwagon posers who just started following because of power, this chapter shows the essence of CSM

This manga has been consistent from the beginning to now lol. Absolutely ridiculous enjoyment. Sure the pacing is off sometimes and the story can get off track but that’s just a part of the fun. It’s a manga and a seriously entertaining one at that. It’s not supposed to be a literary masterpiece. No idea what people who dislike this chapter expected

Ah yes, the classic line of white knights ready to interrupt sex on the first date. Happens every time.

Holy shit. Denji has really grown to beat them all in his normal human form.

But guess bamboozled again

5

u/Andrejosue98 Jul 27 '23

I don't think it is that he has grown, Denji has hunted devils even before he had pochita, so compared to normal humans he should be a beast

Denji has always been a tough kid. Hunting devil for the mafia isn't the easiest thing to do.

But the thing that really turned Denji into killing machine even in his human form is the brutal training him and Power had to do with middle aged devil hunter man.

Fuck, does Yoshida want to bait Dennis into turning into Chainsawman again? So he can liquidate Nayuta or what?

u/TheOnlyFallenCookie Jul 26 '23

Shit... He imagined it only... He is just like me fr fr

Wouldn't have had the balls to stick up for myself either
