I said it in another post but I will say it here too… I think Molestina will do the role of a big sister to Denji…
She seems to me like an Aki and Power amalgamation(with a little Denji too), she has Aki’s job and backstory, Power’s personality and Denji’s horniness…
You may say: “Nah she touched his wiener…” Well, Denji touched Power’s boobs so I guess she fits very well in this dysfunctional “family”…
In the beginning Aki and Power were pushed into Denji’s life and now she is being pushed in his life too…

I liked fumiko From the start, sure it was a bit creepy but Denji literally deepthroated a corpse to fuck her.. I think that was weirder. I think they are both fucked in the head in the same way so yeah I can see them creating a relationship you speak of.

People doing an immediate 180° on Fumiko's character (and calling it development on top of it all) because of some story that might or might not be pure manipulation is kinda hilarious to me. Something about the way it was the exact sort of thing Denji needed to hear, almost tailored to a T... idk man... it's sus af. I kinda wonder if this is also to be taken as meta commentary bc sussiness aside her story worked as intended, Denji lowered his guard and so did part of the fanbase lol.
Part of me hopes it is genuine but even still nothing about this situation makes it good for our boi. I'd be surprised if she doesn't eventually get killed off to further torture him

Whether it’s true or not, her choosing to tell it now, and the way she tells it, are incredibly manipulative. Just as Barem is appealing to Chainsaw Man side, Fumiko is appealing to Denji.
I think the people seeing this as sympathetic and that Fumiko really cares for Denji are missing the point. Both Barem and Fumiko are just trying to pull Denji in different directions. Although, credit to Fumiko, she’s only using a sad story and not the threat of mass murder to do so.

She was planted alright but Yoshida like always, chose the wrong person. I think Fumiko legit really likes Denji for who he is, and them creating a brother-sister relationship can throw a wrench into Yoshidas plans, whatever they may be. Fumiko has a few screws loose just like Denji. I like their dynamics, especially now that she told him that she saw him crying. That's a very emotional moment for both we're talking about here. It's a thing that people bond over. I hope she lives, and you know, isn't bullshitting.

I agree with you, but not because Fumiko is a interesting character now.
Part one summarizes everything about a character through death, but part two is different. In my opinion, part two enriches the character through the interactions between others. So I expect Fumiko will add a new dimension to relationships of Asa.

(Still, I really hope she's not lying about being a denji senpai fan. Maybe there could be a volume just called denji senpai, like mha and my villain academia)

I rly want them to form an older sister-brother relationship cause they both have a few screws loose and I like their dynamics. Also the thing with Denji crying after killing the gun fiend was a very emotional moment for both Denji and Fumiko. For different and the same reasons sure, but that's the sort of thing people bond over. I'd like to see that.

Difference is, Spider-Man had other aspects aside from his tragedy. In part 1, we didn't explore a ton of Denji personally except towards the very end. We gotta get stuff like that eventually. CSM has also been going a lot less than Spiderman remember lol

Great chapter for a lot of reasons. Fumiko development is crazy, I hope she doesn’t end being painted as a hero by the end, but csm has never been that simplistic. Lots of hitting home and Denji development which is awesome. Barem and the hybrids for the intensity jumping up.
But damn I miss Asa, it’s been so long since we’ve seen her and spent real time with her. Don’t get me wrong I love Denji, but I miss Asa too.
I’m expecting to see Fumiko fight soon obviously. But then Asa, Chainsaw-less Denji, Yoshida and maaaaaybe Reze/Quanxi/Katana in the next fight, all would be cool. But Reze and Quanxi would need to be handled right.

But a part of me thinks that Reze just went back to the Soviets after she came back. Or Quanxi left to China again. Or maybe Denji would transform again.

Might have made her more able to be manipulated by CSM Church, maybe not
As for Reze it's possible, but I think she also feels some form of guilt, don't think she feels comfortable seeing Denji after everything

Quanxi definitely went back to china however it’s probably copium but there’s probably more to Reze as well, since if the CSM soviets are anything like our Soviets she’s not going to be welcomed back unless it’s in a body bag which leads to my Reze Chainsaw Man Church Reze theory and that is, she’s in disagreement with it and is captured by Fami or in hiding as what we know about Reze is she actually chose to run away with Denji before she was captured by Makima she saw Denji for who he is and not as Chainsaw Man so why join a group who doesn’t See Denji but just Chainsaw Man it doesn’t make much sense so she likely disagreed and is now on the run or is one of Fami’s pawns like Falling, as on the other hand if she agreed why hasn’t she shown up yet as of Denji saw her at the Chainsaw Man Church he likely would of joined.

If I recall, the general populace knows that Chainsaw Man is part of Public Safety due to the uniform Denji wears when he transforms. But the populace is fickle; half want him dead and the other half worship him. Public Safety is trying to avoid attempting to kill Denji because 1. he's pretty powerful as heck, 2. they kinda owe him for beating Makima, and 3. they want to be in his good graces should the need arise where they need Chainsaw Man.
Essentially, for Public Safety, it's politics. But for the Church...
