Wellbutrin was the only antidepressant that successfully stopped my intrusive suicidal thoughts when I was suffering from severe depression. But let's all listen to this asshole because he's a rich cunt ๐

I was put on wellbutrin after I tried to kms while on SSRIs, which is a very well documented side effect.

That's the thing... Different drugs work for different people. You can't say, "this didn't work for Jim, so it needs taken off the market" ๐ It's almost like he rarely knows what he's talking about, but he's so smart in other things that he thinks he knows and understands everything.

u/pearlsbeforedogs May 29 '23
I would argue that he's not even that smart in other things, just lucky enough that he hired the right people.

Lucky and rich. Let's not forget the emerald mines, shall we?
'Gentlemen, when I started Renholm Industries, I had only two things in my possession - a dream, and six million pounds.'

Exactly - Tylenol works for some people and not others. Yeah, we should take that off the market. He's a clown.

I can explain this. Wellbutrin is a drug that effects your executive function. It's used for people who are trying to stop smoking. It helps me move my body and DO things my brain is telling my body to do.
I've been on Wellbutrin twice. The first time I started taking it I was in the middle of a depression episode. I had been having suicide ideation, but when I started taking the Wellbutrin, I suddenly felt like I could actually carry out my plan. I called my doctor and she had me discontinue it immediately.
The second time I started taking it I still had major depression, but it was managed with another medication. I have ADHD and I was having trouble doing things like getting out of bed. This second time it worked- no suicide ideation and suddenly I could make my body move when I needed to. I've been on it for about 5 years now, and it's been a miracle.

I mean, to be fair, some anti depressants can effect depressed brains in such a way that suicidal thoughts happen more.
Source: I've been on antidepressants for close to 20 years and been depressed even longer.

I prescribe Wellbutrin all the time. It's really one of the antidepressants that has the least side effects. What a silly take from man baby musk.

Does anyone really pay attention to what Elon Fuck says anymore?
2
u/BrookeBaranoff May 29 '23
1/3 reddit to laugh at him, 1/3 to take his word as gospel, and 1/3 probably thinks heโs the Facebook guy right?

u/riqueoak May 29 '23
I have no clue, I despise him with all my heart and avoid literally anything heโs involved in.

Elon Musk never fails to continually out stupid himself day by day.
Im continually amazed at the seemingly endless stream of subjects he knows absolutely nothing about.

u/OCRAmazon May 30 '23
I just don't understand why he's comparing Wellbutrin and Adderall in the first place. They're entirely different classes of drugs to treat entirely different conditions. That's like saying "acetaminophen is way worse than Benadryl."

u/badwolf42 May 30 '23
Elon Musk does not think deeply about anything before forming a fairly rigid opinion.
3
u/HausmastaMC May 30 '23
Why does this idiot think, he has to share his opinion on effing EVERYTHING!
He's done a marvellous inheriting a shit-ton of money and that's about it. so wow. much achievement. ...

u/Cereal_poster May 30 '23
The joke's on you Elon. Wellbutrin is also used as a medication against ADHD like Adderall is. Source: have ADHD, and can't take any stimuli like Adderall because of my heart condition, take Wellbutrin at a higher dosage (450mg) instead.

I cannot say without getting banned my feelings relating to Elon Musk, but they are not warm and fuzzy.

I was on Wellbutrin to quit smoking. I never had depression. And yes, while on it, I felt like kms. It sucks the joy out of any pleasure you can get in life.

Aren't most of his tweets just troll posts at this point?
22
u/TurgidAF May 29 '23
He's not a shitposter, merely a shit poster. His "troll" tweets are just the ones that don't get the response he wanted or get brought up later to call him a dolt.

u/Curl_of_the_Burl_ May 29 '23
He used to be a troll but he's wayyyy too deep in the shit pipe to have any sense of humor. You are pretty much getting full on true opinion from him now.

I took wulbutrine-Contrave as part of a smoking cessation program. After the 5th dosage increase I was twitching like Michael J Fox.

I completely agree with Howie here, but weren't the triple-parentheses a thing a few years back? ๐ค
Edit: I believe Howie was using them correctly and ironically. It's just been a whilr so I forgot what the whole thing was about.

The "echo" thing is something that was started by white supremacists a few years back. They use it as a way to defame Jewish people without outright using slurs. It was a sort of dog whistle. A lot of Jews now use it with their own name as a way to make fun of the bigots and reduce the effectiveness of their idiocy.

Let's be fair. This dude is pure logically active. And makes sense most of the time, because he's not following the social direction of discussions. Which is something I wish we could ask for in many situations ๐ But his logic is spot on, thankfully we all know better. It's logic that has to take one more step. I love some of the responses here. Wellbutrin may have saved my life. In the shot time I took it, cause I'd rather natural. I don't fricken know how. But thank my uncle for suggesting it. His other suggestion was ashwagandha, and that has clearly made a significant difference daily for years. Once in a while, I didn't have any, but didn't worry bout it until I replenished, but noticed a difference. Thankful indeed. I cannot express vehemently enough, how important I think this is to men, women too (but assists with testosterone), but specifically men.

elon musk is the type of person who sniffs his own farts and then claim it's potpourri.

.I'd rather take advice on medication from professional healthcare workers.
If I want something to know about exploiting people in mines or on Twitter I'll ask Elon Musk.
