Adorable until she's having a full-blown panic attack at 3 a.m. because a little shakey-shake doesn't help anymore with the constant stream of horrific scenarios that are only getting worse by the day <3
Honestly, it's really not that cute, it's pretty shit. The right partner to hold your hand can be a help, but lots of guys just go "ohh quirky qt gf <3" and can't deal with the reality of it once the mask crumbles.
edit to clarify: I'm talking about real intrusive thoughts, not the synonym for "normal human thinking" used on social media atm

Why? I love hearing all unique intrusive thoughts. I’m pretty inclusive about exclusive intrusive thoughts as long as they aren’t obtrusive

u/thelivingshitpost 18d ago
I either impulsively do that or just play Tetris obsessively to chase them away. Intrusive thoughts are horrible.

New rapper name lil etcha a sketch dibs
3
u/guilty_bystander 17d ago
Random, but what's with everyone being "lil" this and "lil" that?
5
u/HighKiteSoaring 17d ago
Because they have no imagination
Doesnt speak to the creativity of a rapper when they can't even think of a stage name that doesn't suck
2
u/picabo123 17d ago
It's probably someone's nickname and then when one person gets famous everyone starts calling their friend "lil Chris" and then he gets famous and so on. What's with Sir? Or what about Mr?

I feel like I'm giving myself horrible ticks. When it's bad I jerk my head to one side and let out a guttural "HOO!"
I might need a therapist

u/Biernar 17d ago
I do some version of this. Been to a therapist also. A therapist can't really cure you, but teach you how to deal with this stuff in a healthy way.

No armchair diagnoses here. But have you ever been evaluated?
What OP and you describe can happen with OCD. I'm OCD and I go through this almost daily.

Trying to hide the name in Nordic?
I KNOW WHO YOU ARE “METANOÖ MAGICC”
2
u/bluefishegg 17d ago
Not really Nordic as much as Germanic, nords used elder futhark for a period, but it evolved into younger futhark pre to early viking age.
Nice translation though

an etch a sketch is a tiny box filled with powder. there is a transparent screen on the front.
inside the box is a stylus that touches the screen. when the stylus touches the screen, it wipes away the powder, creating lines (almost like a pencil and paper)
you control the stylus using a left knob and right knob. one knob moves the stylus up and down. one knob moves it right and left.
sounds simple, but you can make really intricate pictures this way.
when you are done, you can shake the box. then, the powder will cover your drawing and you can start a new one.

She's a 10 - he rates her 10/10
Intrusive thoughts - negative thoughts (often from anxiety) creep into your brain, often without warning (and always without wanting)
Etch-a-Sketch: a popular children's toy from I wanna say the 90s, you'd spin two little dials to control a cursor (example) It's filled with black granules that adhere to the screen where the cursor passes, allowing you to draw a design. You shake the Etch-a-Sketch when you're done sketching to release the granules, leaving a clean slate

u/DownvoteDealer23 18d ago
I’m going to give your comment an upvote just because I’m appreciative of your effort to accurately explain the text, however, my real question is why is that here? Where was this person’s punctuation? They should worry about getting an education not about how psycho their “10” is. This sub is turning into all the other garbage subs.

Oh I certainly don't think the post is funny lol, plus the "but" doesn't make sense - is shaking your head when you have intrusive thoughts a negative thing? And then the emoji makes it seem like a positive thing too
But as for the grammar, it's twitter, not English class. Where was the punctuation in your two comments? (edit: at least I'm guessing it's twitter lol)
1
u/iR3vives 18d ago
This meme format always implies that the "but" is a positive trait that makes them an 11/10...
He's literally saying he finds it cute.
